Literature is intimately related to society. It reflects an entire culture of a people. Literature reflects the society its vices and virtues.It is an integral part of the entire culture entire culture, tied by a tissue of connections with every element in the culture.The range of social influences on Literature is a broad as the entire range of dynamic social forces; the prevailing system of social organization including the class structure, the political organization, and the dominant ideas; the characteristics emotional tone; the nostalgia and the pattern of contemporary realities.The literature discusses all the field of life.literature throws light on social values or norms.We see morality materialism and utilitarianism in the writings of literature. When we study the novels of George Eliot, we find her as a moralizer. She finds the social vices and wanted to reform it. She established the moral laws as the basis of human society.
